We had a great time playing to the lovely crowd at the Fine City Blues, Norwich on Thursday night. I was moved to see you really getting into (thank you for the dancers!) those songs of mine that you haven’t heard before. Your enthusiasm rubbed off on us and kept us going for the two encores no matter it was after (and before) a long drive. The second set was one of our best gigs.

Thank you also for the brisk sale of CDs, t-shirts and vinyl LP (I heard that one of you bought my entire back catalogue and a tee(!) and Mary rightly gave you a discount. Thank you). Hope the gold pen will not smudge. The XL size that had run out is being posted to the gentleman concerned today (packed and ready to go). I will keep in touch with many of you who kindly joined the mailing list.

I am blessed to be working with such great people who made this gig possible – Dave Thomas (thank you also for joining us on the last two numbers – I loved the part you were playing on “Is That You Baby”!) and Steve Morphew (I did manage to find where I parked in the end) who put us on; THE band – Rietta Austin, Mune Sugiyama, Ben Reed, Stuart Dixon – for your massive musical talents (I am your number one fan) and the love you have shown – and for making the long journey (particularly Stuart for driving); Mr Steve Yourgilvch for looking us up and for the chat; Ian Elson for bringing and showing me his wonderful creation of a pale English sycamore guitar with massive frets and lovely thick sound; the helpful staff at the Murderers; and last but definitely not least, my new friends Alvin (that blue plaque was so cool!), Adam, Jason, Frank Lurcher (thank you for the photos including the one above) and the gentleman who also saw us at the Stowblues whose name I forgot to ask. Thank you all.

Peace and Much Love.
